Marriage is the clasping of hands, the blending of hearts, the union of two loves as one. From the moment you whisper “I do”, hold on to that moment, take a deep breath and together all your hopes, and dreams can be real. May success find it’s way to your lives and hearts.
And so my wish to you both is that when you wake each day you will turn to each other with the same look you share today. Love each other, always ----
Declaration of Intention
Minister: ______ , do you come of your own free will with no reservations about your desire to marry ______ ? Please repeat, I do
Groom: I do
Minister: ______ , do you come of your own free will with no reservations about your desire to marry ______ ? Please repeat, I do
Bride: I do
While the greatest commitment to this union comes from the promises made by ______ and ______ today, their joining brings together two families. If the times get tough, or should we say WHEN the times get tough, ______ and Reggie will look to all of you for love and support to get them through.
Marriage Advice
I would like to talk to both of you about the importance of communication in your marriage:
Every Morning… Communicate, whether it be a silent hug or a morning discussion over breakfast. Everyday… Tell each other you love one another and mean it.
Everynight… Always Kiss her goodnight ______ .
Regularly talk about what you may need from your partner, if you stay silent your partner can not read your mind and feelings can easily be riled.
Whom ever talks loudest is not the winner in any argument. It is always better to bend a little than to break. You both will win when you show the kindness and the love that you want to see from the other. It really is hard to fight with someone when you are surrounded with love!
Vows
Minister: ______ , please repeat after me.
______ , with all my heart I take you to be my wife.
I will love you through the good and the bad,
through the joy and the sorrow.
I will try to be understanding,
and to trust in you completely.
I will make you a part of me
and in turn, become a part of you.
Together we will face all of life’s experiences
and share one another’s dreams and goals.
We will be equal partners
in an open, honest relationship
throughout our years.
And it is your hand I wish to hold
until the end of my days

Ring Ceremony
Minister: May I now have the rings please.
Blessing of Rings
The unbroken circle of the wedding ring symbolizes eternity, the timeless dimension of unconditional love. May the presence of these rings continue to remind you of the eternal love and devotion you are to share with one another from this moment onwards. May the beauty and perfection of these rings remind you of the beauty of your togetherness and the perfection of this union you are sanctifying in this perfect moment.
Minister: ______ , please take ______ ’s left hand, place the ring on her finger and repeat after me:
______ , I give you this ring, as a sign of my love.
I give myself to you to be your husband,
So that from this day forward,
you shall not walk alone.
I feel so honored, to have you as my wife.
I vow to love and sustain you,
In the covenant of our marriage.
As long as we both shall live.

Minister: As the sea is eternal, so is their love. May their love soar beyond the wind, beyond the sea, beyond the earth, beyond the sky.
Sand Ceremony
______ and ______ you came here today as individuals from two different families.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a base of sand from the earth was placed in this vase symbolizing the foundation on which you are to begin your life together.
Today you have committed to share the rest of your lives and begin a new life together. This new family relationship is symbolized thru the pouring of these individual vases of sand;
The Pink sand representing you, ______
And all that you were,
All that you are,
And all you will ever be.
The Blue sand represents you, ______
And all that you were,
All that you are,
And all you will ever be.
The Purple sand represents you, ______
And the uniqueness you bring to this family.
The Teal sand represents you, ______
And the spirit you bring to this family.
As these four sands are poured into the vase, the separate containers will no longer exist, and will be joined together as one.
(Direct them to start pouring the sand)
Pouring of the Sand
The individual layers symbolize that in your marriage you each will retain your individual strengths even as you join together.
Just as these grains can never be separated and poured again into their individual containers, so will your marriage be.
What the Divine has joined together, let no man pull apart.
______ and ______ , I remind you that the God who brought your family together and nurtured this relationship is the key to your success as a married couple.
Allow the Divine to guide your thinking and bless your home. Call on this power often.
May this marriage be your sanctuary, your haven from worldly pain.
Minister: Marriage is a commitment to life…
To the best that two people can find and bring out of each other. It offers opportunities for sharing and growth no other human relationship can equal, a physical and emotional joining that is promised for a lifetime. There may come times when one partner is heartbroken or ailing, and the love of the other brings healing and steadfastness to a sturdy foundation that allows the marriage covenant to be established. Marriage deepens and enriches every facet of life. Happiness is fuller, memories are fresher; commitment is stronger. Marriage understands and forgives the mistakes life is unable to avoid. It encourages and nurtures new life, new experiences; and a new way of expressing love through the seasons of life. When two people pledge to love and care for each other in marriage, they create a spirit unique to themselves, which binds them closer than any spoken or written words. Marriage is a promise, made in the hearts of two people who love each other, which takes a lifetime to fulfill.
Pronouncement After the Marriage Vows
And it is with that…. ______ and ______ having confessed your vows to each other and with the exchanging of your rings, you have expressed your desire to be married. From this day forward may you always be each other’s best friend, now by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may now kiss your bride.
Congratulations to you both! And now I have the pleasure of presenting to you, ______ and ______ ! May you go in peace ~Amen
After speaking with you about your ceremony I will write a ceremony that is perfect for the two of you!
